Concept and Development

Created by Rome Yansen around 2013 but fully developed into its current iteration in 2016. PHARAOHXIOUS became an independent offspring from a successful clothing line mascot. New characters, new world, and a plot line of new adventures snowballed into comics, concept art, and animation.
PHARAOHXIOUS blends ancient Egyptian iconography with bold, futuristic sci-fi design. The world is colorful, exaggerated, and graphic favoring strong silhouettes, expressive facial animation, and high-contrast palettes. Backgrounds pull from hieroglyphs, pyramids, and cosmic architecture, while characters move with loose, elastic animation that supports fast-paced physical comedy. The style prioritizes clarity, speed, and visual humor over realism, allowing for scalable production and strong merchandising appeal.
